Have breakfast with Frosty at the K of C
TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON – Frosty the Snowperson and the K of C will be hosting a “Frosty Breakfast” for kids and their families on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Mother Seton Council #5427 Knights of Columbus Hall, 79 Pascack Road, Township of Washington.
The breakfast consists of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea, plus games and prizes. The affair is a charity fundraiser and a chance for a photo op with Frosty. Reindeer antler headpieces, red light-up Rudolph noses, and Jingle Bells will be available for purchase.
Frosty visits were a tradition for many years at the Jesse F. George School and were run by parents and grandparents, including Bob and Jill Catherman and Linda Murphy, who are leading the event once again this year.
The cost for kids under 16 is $5 and for kids, and kids at heart, who are over 16, it is $7. The maximum for a family (mom, dad, and children) is $20. Tickets may be purchased at the door on Dec. 7 or in advance at the Members Room, in the rear of the hall, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information call 201-664-0422.

SAINT JOSEPH REGIONAL
Christmas Craft Show is Dec. 7
MONTVALE – The Parents’ Guild of Saint Joseph Regional High School will sponsor its annual Christmas Craft Show on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 100 crafters will sell their goods that include wooden toys, hand-decorated clothing for adults and children; stained glass; calligraphy, folk and tin art; birdhouses and pillows.
Admission is $2; seniors and children are admitted free. Strollers are not permitted. The Mothers’ Guild will sell a variety of foods.

WOODCLIFF LAKE UNICO
‘Lunch with Santa’ tickets now available
On Sunday, Dec. 7, Woodcliff Lake UNICO will host its annual “Lunch with Santa” party at the Tice Senior Center from noon until 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $8 per person (children under 2 are free), and all children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Adults will have the opportunity to win holiday spending money with the 50/50 raffle for charity. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Space for this event is strictly limited; advance tickets are required, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will enjoy a pizza lunch, soft drinks, and an opportunity to have their photo taken with Santa Claus. Children will create holiday crafts and receive a goody bag and a small gift from Santa.

PASCACK HISTORICAL SOCIETY
‘Stocking Stuffer’ salesat museum Sunday, Dec. 7
PARK RIDGE – The Pascack Historical Society will host its annual, “Stocking Stuffer” Sales on Sunday, Dec. 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at the museum, 19 Ridge Ave.
Costume and vintage jewelry, rare and antique books, map reproductions, prints, pottery and one-of-a-kind items will be available for purchase.
For $25 each, shoppers can purchase an annual membership in the society for friends and family, that entitles the new member to four editions of “Relics,” a quarterly newsletter that contains local historical information. “Pascack Valley Tales I,” a 176-page book published by the society and edited by Katharine P. Randall of Hillsdale, will be available for $20.

WESTWOOD ELKS
Memorial service to honor deceased members planned
Westwood Elks Lodge #1562 will hold a memorial service on Sunday, Dec. 7 at noon to honor its deceased members. The service, which will be held at the lodge, 523 Kinderkamack Road in Westwood, is open to the public. There will be a light repast supplied by the Women’s Auxiliary following the ceremony.
Every year Westwood Lodge and every Elks Lodge in the country is mandated to hold a special memorial service dedicated to their members that have passed away. Exalted Ruler Tom Pahl will lead the service, which is performed by the officers and trustees of Westwood Lodge as each deceased member’s name is called.
An organist and organ music will be supplied by Becker’s Funeral Home, and a brief oration will be given by Past District Deputy John Cangelosi, Jr., who is a past exalted ruler of Westwood Lodge.
