Train show open house set for Dec. 13, 14
The Hillsdale train station will have an open house on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14 from noon to 4 p.m.
There will be a model train layout on the second floor. All are welcome to attend.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
K of C food drive, Saturday, Dec. 13
TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON – Mother Seton Council #5427 of the Knights of Columbus of Washington Township hold its annual food drive to collect non-perishable food goods to help the needy through local food pantries. Personal hygiene items are also welcome. The annual drive will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13.
All township residents are asked to place a bag of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items at their front door before 10 a.m. on that Saturday. Volunteers from the K of C will pick up the parcels as they cover every residence in the township. As a reminder, a food drive notice will be distributed to township households before the drive.
Non-perishable food items needed are powdered milk, hot and cold cereals, canned fruits, vegetables, stew, fish, meats, soups, one-can meals, peanut butter, pudding, Jell-O, jelly, pasta products, rice, baby food, sugar, flour, coffee, tea, pancake mix, etc. Personal hygiene items are also much appreciated as they cannot be obtained with food stamps. In lieu of these items, monetary donations may be sent to the K of C Food Drive, 79 Pascack Road, Township of Washington, NJ 07676. The parcels of food and other items may be left there as well.
