Train show open house set for Dec. 13, 14
The Hillsdale train station will have an open house on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14 from noon to 4 p.m.
There will be a model train layout on the second floor. All are welcome to attend.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Annual Christmas party set for Dec. 14
TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON – Mother Seton Council #5427 of the Washington Township Knights of Columbus announces that it will again host its annual Christmas Party for members and guests in the community. In the Christmas tradition of sharing, the council has invited members of the local Chapter of ARC of Bergen County to join in the festivities. ARC is devoted to promoting and improving services for people with developmental disabilities. The 2008 Christmas Party will take place on Sunday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the K of C Hall, 79 Pascack Road, Township of Washington.
K of C members and guests interested in sharing the spirit of Christmas or in experiencing first hand this Catholic, family oriented, fraternal service organization are invited to drop by. Children are required to bring their parents and parents are encouraged to bring their children. Special events include fun for children courtesy of a special surprise entertainer at 2 p.m., and a visit from Santa at 3 p.m. to distribute gifts for the boys and girls who come. If parents wish Santa to give an additional gift to their offspring, it is requested that it be wrapped, inexpensive (under $15, as not all parents follow this practice) and be very clearly labeled with the child’s full name before being placed under the Christmas Tree. The K of C Hall will be decorated for the occasion and both log fireplaces will be ablaze to add to the atmosphere of the occasion and food and refreshments will be served.
