Mayor Blundo appoints assistant deputy OEM director

Mayor Joseph Blundo appointed Peter Wayne as the new assistant deputy director of the township’s Office of Emergency Management at the council meeting of Monday, Feb. 25.
Wayne is the former superintendent of the Department of Public Works and is currently a Class II member of the Planning Board and the senior captain of the River Vale Fire Department.
“Peter knows this town as well as anyone,” said Blundo.
Wayne was not present at Monday’s meeting to be sworn in, but he was officially appointed to his new post by the mayor.
