Well water to be tested to see if it’s safe to use for irrigat
(by Maggie Fazeli Fard - March 12, 2008)
The water of a municipal well located in
Westvale
Park could one day be used to irrigate fields if tests show the water is safe.
A 1962 report indicating that the well contains “water of a questionable quality” was turned over to the borough by United Water, Mayor John Birkner said at Tuesday’s mayor and council meeting.
Engineer Stephen Boswell agreed to conduct quality tests to determine whether the water is safe to use in irrigation.
