Ordinance to amend zoning map introduced at meeting

On Monday, May 12, the River Vale Council introduced an ordinance to amend the township’s zoning map to include a parcel of land that was previously un-zoned.
It was discovered that the land was zoned for nothing when Rossell Citgo, a gas station located on Cedar Lane in the township, submitted an application to the planning board to change its use from gas station to service station.
If approved on second reading, the amendment would designate the property as part of the residential zone that surrounds it, allowing the application for a change in use to move forward.
