Head Coach Pete Crandall had cause for celebration – the Park Ridge High School boys varsity basketball team won the BCSL Olympic Division Championship this year. He led the Owls to a 15-3 league record and a 19-7 overall record. The team also qualified for the Bergen County and State tournaments.
And there was a second cause to celebrate. In recognition of his hard work and effort this season, Coach Crandall was named the 2008 Bergen County Scholastic League Olympic Division Coach of the Year.
At a recent board of education meeting, Athletic Director Chris Brown presented Coach Crandall with a statue in recognition of this prestigious honor.
